Siam Recorder Room During the early Rattanakosin era, Dr. Dan Beach Bradley established the first printing press in Siam, marking a significant milestone in Thai history. This led to the publication of the very first Thai-language newspaper, The Bangkok Recorder, which became a record of events and happenings in Siam. The term "recorder" soon became associated with journalists and chroniclers of that time, symbolizing the act of documenting significant moments. Inspired by this, we named the Siam Recorder room, as it perfectly reflects its function as a special guest lounge and library, preserving the heritage and chronicles of Siam. This thoughtful name pays homage to a pivotal moment in Thai history while embodying the room's purpose as a space for reflection and preservation.
